A Day In The Life Of An Exchange Student

A lot of people ask me, what is a day like in the life of an exchange student? To be honest, it pretty much goes back to normal after a few weeks but one of the main differentiating factors is that here, you are constantly exploring.

A beautiful street I pass every day on my way to school.

Whether it’s exploring the language, food, culture or the city. I consider myself to be very lucky in terms of my location in Spain. I have been born and brought up in a huge metropolitan city and Badalona was like a whiff of fresh air. It’s a small and intimate town but still not too far from Barcelona. So anytime I get city-sick all I have to do is catch a metro there. The benefit of this small town is that everything is so close by. The beach is a 10-minute walk and so is the school. It has a much more laid back vibe compared to one of a bustling city.

I especially love the narrow and graffiti-filled streets here because of how colorful the buildings are and how they add to the overall aesthetic.

My friends looking strangely at me taking a picture of buildings they see everyday haha!

For me, the secret to happiness is to discover something new every day!
