As I look out of my bedroom window,
The smoky grey expanse is seen,
But in the midst of that, I can see some clumps of green.
Centuries ago, they covered our land,
Oh! the million shades of green,
They looked so grand.
Sometimes I wonder how people lived back then,
Did they live on the greens or in a den?
Since mankind’s evolution,
There has been a tremendous increase in pollution
The greens were cut down,
And what replaced them were towns,
The world of those greens,
Will forever remain a dream.
